Once the Hexon terrain was in place, trenches and barbed wire could be set out according to the trench maps. The trenches are from the new TimeCast range. They are cast in latex, which allows them to conform to the terrain contours. The barbed wire is home-made. The ‘wire’ is cut from plastic pot scourers and stuck onto Litko ultrathin plywood bases. The ‘wire’ is sprayed black then dry brushed with silver and rust red. The shell holes and roads are from TimeCast too. The explosion markers are from Litko.
