IR 14 maintained its advance in the centre but the main action shifted to Colincamps. The Whippets held position, enabling them to take the forward IR 140 battalion under fire. Under cover of this fire, New Zealand infantry diverted towards this threat.
IR 140 continued to consolidate around and west of the sugar beet factory.
