The Germans launched their 1918 Spring Offensives with Operation Micheal on 21 March. Two Armies attacked across a wide front, forcing the British to retreat. This map is taken from the German official history Der Weltkrieg 1914-1918. It shows the situation on the evening of 26 March. In the centre of the map is "4.”, which marks the German 4th Infantry Division. It passed through the 24th Infantry Division near Puisieux-au-Mont and advanced north of Serre towards Signy on the map. The latter refers to La Signy Farm, which became the scene of heavy fighting over the next few weeks and is the focus of this scenario.
