Table setup

Previous

This view of the table is taken from the ‘eastern’ end. The cloth measures 6’ x 8’, representing 6 x 8 kilometres approximately. Hexon terrain pieces have been used to create the range of hills running east-west along the centre of the table. The Russian forces, comprising two infantry and one cavalry divisions, are approaching from the north (right table edge). Russian cavalry can be seen probing forward on one of the few roads. Extensive woods can be seen in the middle of the battlefield. Numerous streams flow down from the higher ground, though none are big enough to affect movement. Austro-Hungarian (one infantry division) and German forces (one infantry and one cavalry divisions) are advancing from the southern table edge.
